AOC - Grand Final Preview Edition

Friday's action produced plenty of drama and now that the dust has settled the scene is set for today's Grand Final action.

Open Mens - ACT vs QLD

Despite finishing on the top of the table, ACT shocked Queensland beating them in the major semi  95 to 73.  Queensland have recovered by winning the prelim final and are looking to take revenge.  Head-to-head ACT are up 2 - 1 and will be well-rested heading into the Grand Final.

Open Ladies - VIC v SA

VIctoria finished on top of the table and in a nail-biting major semi, managed to beat Queensland by a single run hitting the winning runs on the last ball of the match.  Unfortunately this defeat had a knock-on effect and South Australia, fresh off handing the Allies a thrashing brought the competition to Queensland.  With scenes of deja vu South Australia sealed the victory in the final over winning 97 - 92.

Lord Taverners Shield - QLD v VIC

In a competition which has been dominated by Queensland it would be easy to look at today's outcome as a foregone conclusion.  Hitting an impressive 1200 runs over 9 matches in the league phase Queensland are hard to look past.  VIctoria defeated South Australia for the chance to challenge Queensland and it will be exactlt that - a challenge.

Under 19 Mens - WA - QLD Maroons

In a group similar to the Lord Taverner's Western Australia have dominated the opposition winning all matche and averaging over 3 skins per match.  Their grand final opposition was always going to be Queensland, it was just a matter of which one.  The Maroons booked their place defeating Queensland Gold 112 - 63.
