2016 Australian Open Championships - What can we tell from 3 days?

After 3 days we can safely say that the competition is wide open and anyone's game. No state is clearly dominating, but the signs are there and some fantastic performances have already shaped this tournament. Note: Tables below are current and so may no longer reflect the situation as at 7 June 2016.
21 & Under Mens
Western Australia have asserted themselves here with a dream first round defeating all challengers including the two Queensland teams sitting in 2nd and 3rd place. It's tempting at this point to predict them to go on to finals glory, but Queensland are veteran winners.

Reigning champions Queensland are dominating here, which in the Lord's Taverners Shield is something you can set your watch to. They still have to walk the walk and all teams have their off days.

Queensland are leading but they had a close encounter with South Australia saved by Blayne Gibbs and Krystal Oppermann who turned the match around in the 3rd skin.

The lean mean men of the ACT are enjoying a dream run here, dispatching Queensland yesterday and defeating all other contenders. They're looking good to take home the goods, but time will tell.
