The BBI Indoor Cricket Premier League will head to St Mary’s on Friday night for the second series of Premier League matches to be live streamed. All seven Premier League sides will compete along with guest team The Rockets to provide four games of fast paced action.

Hills Tigers v Penrith Storm – 6:30pm

Both of these sides suffered losses to competition leaders Newcastle last weekend. With Penrith sitting fourth and the Tigers just two points behind in fifth, this match could decide the top four for now. But it’s also important to note Hills still have a game in hand and could jump Penrith in later rounds even if they lose on Friday. These are two closely matched sides in what should be a tight contest.

Castle Hill Cougars v Peakhurst Devils – 6:30pm

Castle Hill is backing up from a good win over Liverpool which keeps them well within reach of the top of the ladder. With a game in hand a win against Peakhurst on Friday is crucial to their minor premiership hopes. Peakhurst however continue to struggle with just one win for the season. Losing all four skins last week against St Mary’s and a tough loss to Penrith wasn’t how the team wanted to back up their first and only win of the season against the Tigers three weeks ago. A win in this match would bring them in touch with the middle of the table as well as show their full potential as finals contenders.

Newcastle Steel v St Mary’s Vipers – 8pm

Newcastle easily accounted for St Mary’s in their first two encounters and should hold on to top spot on the ladder in this match. Some of the Steels’ top players have been absent in recent weeks but they still managed to drop only one game and that was against the very strong Castle Hill. St Mary’s on the other hand have been struggling with just the one win against Peakhurst keeping them off the bottom of the ladder. Once again the pressure will be on the more experienced players in the St Mary’s line up to get the job done while the youth their side has will need to step up to match the competition leaders.

Liverpool Bulls v The Rockets – 8pm

The final game of the round is a trial match between Liverpool and the A.C.T. Open Men’s side. Despite only being a trial it will be a hotly contested match as each team looks to take out bragging rights and build some form heading into their next series of matches. The Rockets are only three weeks out from their Australian Open Championship campaign and will be seeking some valuable match practice, something a strong Liverpool team will provide. It may not be for competition points but it will certainly be an entertaining match with some of the best players in the country taking to the court.

Be sure to head to the BBI livestream to catch all the action if you can’t make it to St Mary’s Indoor Sports on Friday night.
