The finals of the Australian Open Championships start this Friday 10 June and the competition is tight across all divisions. The wheat has been sorted from the chaff and now it's time for the cream to rise to the top. In spite of our ordinary track record at making predictions, we've gone for the safe bets this time around.
21 & Under Mens
Western Australia remain atop the standings table. Only Victoria have beaten the leaders and if WA win their Semi they may well never meet again at this competition.
Conversative Prediction: Western Australia
Team | Played | Wins | Losses | Draws | Skins | Points |
Lord's Taverners Shield
It's been nothing but a walk in the park for Queensland. They've won all their games and only dropped 2 skins. They're the reigning champions and have a for and against that dreams are made of.
Conservative Prediction: Queensland
Team | Played | Wins | Losses | Draws | Skins | Points |
Open Womens
What a division! Who is the favourite? Who knows? At the end of the day it's about winning and Queensland are doing that, but they are leaking runs.
Hail Mary Prediction: Queensland
Team | Played | Wins | Losses | Draws | Skins | Points |
Open Mens
They're undefeated and bossing this division. With Queensland breathing down their necks (literally in the field sometimes) this is another close call. They haven't lost yet, so why start now?
Bold Prediction: ACT
Team | Played | Wins | Losses | Draws | Skins | Points |
