QLD – QCI Major League Cricket – Wynnum’s streak alive, but only just

Wynnum went into last Saturday’s match up against Toowoomba in the Men’s A competition boasting a 4 game winning streak that they were willing to fight tooth and nail to keep alive. As fate would have it, that’s exactly what they had to do, with their hosts pushing them all the way to the very edge.

When the dust settled, the scoreboard read 89-90 in Wynnum’s favour. Robert Fitzgerald’s contribution of 12 was enough to secure him player of the match honours in what was a dour game where runs and wickets were at an absolute premium.

Wynnum now sit on top of the table on 32 competition points, 3 clear of second placed Toombul.
