QLD - Cricket - WB Strikers claim last over win at ISA Mackay

The WB Strikers have limited their opponents, the Alley Catz, to a meagre four runs in the final skin of the match to claim an unlikely victory in the Masters Thursday Cricket at Mackay.

The Alley Catz were favourites to win the match, and looked the goods heading into the fourth skin of their innings.

However some devastating bowling, spearheaded by Cedric Yasserrie, eviscerated the Catz’ aspirations.

Yasserrie contributed 35 including 4 wickets and 28 runs and deservedly claimed the player of the match gong.

It was a bitter pill to swallow for the Catz, who cling on to second place despite going down to cellar-dwelling Strikers.
