QLD - Cricket - Tight field battles it out in Men’s B Cricket at Cairns Indoor

It’s been a tight, grinding kind of week at Cairns Indoor Sports in the Wednesday Men’s B cricket with the Mungbeans and Wasat coming up the goods in a pair of competitive matches.

The Mungbeans can thank a fourth skin knock from player of the match Kyle Wright for the success of their run chase. Wright knocked off a more than handy 22 with the bat to propel his side to a total of 104 , surpassing their opponents’ - J & R Refrigeration - total of 88 on the way.

Wasat managed to sneak past their opponents, the Spinals, to secure a narrow, 7 run win thanks to good contributions from Colin Mackinnon and Brad Hudson.

This result went right down to the final skin of the game, with Hudson and Mats Parkinson holding on the the last over to assure victory.
