Australian Teams Dominate World 8 Teams

After winning all 4 divisions it was no surprise that the Australian teams dominated the World 8 teams which were announced at the closing ceremony. 20 Australians were amongst the 32 players named.

Under 20 Ladies

New Zealander Amelia Kerr walked away as the MVP for the tournament after outstanding performances throughout the week. Amelia averaged a shade under 20 with the bat and took 18 wickets for 42. At only 14 years old she is definitely a player to keep a very close eye in the coming years.

Under 20 Men’s

The MVP went to New Zealand’s Clayton Floyd who played in all but 1 of New Zealand’s games throughout the week. He was their most consistent performer.

Open Ladies

Australia’s Ashleigh Doble won the MVP award after an outstanding tournament. Doble took a massive 19 wickets in just 7 games and she complimented that with a batting average of 19.71.

Open Men’s

Australia’s Travis Baker walked away with the MVP honours, his searing pace picking up 22 wickets and he was no slouch with the bat either contributing 191 runs.
